Pufby AI helps self-publishing authors go from manuscript to a KDP-ready book cover without hiring a designer or guessing at Amazon's formatting rules. The brief was to make something that felt as fast and reassuring as the promise on the landing page: publish-ready covers with AI, in minutes.
The core of the product is the validator: authors upload their interior manuscript and cover file, and it checks trim size, spine width, bleed, and more against KDP's actual requirements, scanning for over 20 common issues that would otherwise get a submission rejected. We paired that with an AI cover generator, so an author with no design background can go from a prompt to a finished, compliant cover in one flow.
We kept the interface deliberately simple: a low-friction signup, a single generation screen, and one-time pricing instead of a confusing subscription tier, matching how a solo author actually thinks about the cost of publishing one book.
